Due to remedial works being undertaken on the East Block building, the National Archives will not be hosting school visits until 2020.

Our Education staff are developing enhanced school visitor experiences. Our new education programs will continue to be curriculum-linked and engaging for school students while also using our updated state-of-the-art exhibition spaces.

In the meantime, you can visit us online for high-quality educational resources.

You can also sign up to our Education mailing list by emailing our Learning Officer.

The National Archives has partnered with the National Capital Educational Tourism Project and eight other cultural institutions and attractions in Canberra to develop an online platform, Book Canberra Excursions.

The National Archives uses the Book Canberra Excursions online booking platform to assist tour operators, teachers and social groups to explore program availability and make group bookings.

You can now make group booking requests for 2020 onwards via Book Canberra Excursions.
